Handful activewear has high-impact bras that empower breast cancer fighters and survivors.
Since 2006, Handful activewear has been all about support—in two different ways. The first is by designing high-impact sports bras suitable for larger cup sizes. The second is the brand’s backing for a truly awesome cause—helping breast cancer fighters and survivors. And the Y-back is a perfect example of how it’s done. Not only does the bra offer support for D-cup runners, but the brand also offers breast cancer survivors a lifetime 30% discount on all its apparel.
One of our favorite things about the Y-back is its simplicity. The bra has no clasps or adjustments, but still offers D-cup approved support with a super wide and sturdy bottom band and a little squeeze of compression. Cinching in the front, the bra keeps your breasts separated as you stride, and the sweat-wicking spandex-blend fabric offers just enough snugness to control bounce. Plus, the Y-back’s straps sit high and flat on the shoulders for a relaxed, comfy fit, with little chance of chafing.
Removable “Lights-Out” liners mean the Y-back has you covered, even on your shirtless runs, and offer a little extra padding than your average modesty inserts. (Handful also offers additional sets free of charge to any survivors wishing to use them as an everyday prosthetic.) Our wear-testers pegged the Y-back’s support as its shining feature. One D-cup tester said that she felt completely secure with hardly any bounce for her entire run. Plus, she especially liked the bra’s Light’s Out padding. "I felt like a buxom badass with the bra on, and liked the style of the straps,” she said.
The only drawback was that the wide bottom band felt a little tight and constricting to some testers, who would have liked a little more stretch and breathability.
